WE ARE GENERATE
Laura Gibson is from Indiana and went to Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She moved out to Los Angeles right after college where she began her career at United Talent Agency. She was promoted to coordinator there, but decided she wanted to go to a smaller firm. She was an agent at Rebel Entertainment partners for roughly 4 years, when she was approached by the bigger firms again. She went to ICM, where she worked as an agent, before making the move into management. Laura loves working with actors and help shaping their careers.
Alicia Goff handles the Production and Talent Management Accounting for Generate. Born and raised in Huntington Beach, CA and graduated from UC Irvine. She started out working freelance production before shifting into the world of music videos at London Alley Entertainment, working on multiple VMA and Grammy nominated projects. Outside of the office she enjoys hiking with her dog, and singing in a choir.
Lennon Ma was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. He studied political science and economics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Growing up with a passion for automobiles, politics and Hollywood, he chose the entertainment industry for his career. Lennon has worked in film and television production before moving into talent and literary representation.
Yoni Ovadia started his career working with Joannie Burstein, where he helped represent A-List clients for almost 8 years. After that, he went on his own and had a successful management firm representing clients on many TV shows and films. In 2013 he joined Generate Talent where he continues to oversee and develop new and emerging talent as well as well-established actors and helping to guide them through their careers.
Dave Rath is a Founding Partner of Generate. For over twenty years, he has represented high profile comedians, writers and actors who have influenced popular culture and pushed the boundaries of comedy. He has produced comedy cult hits such as WonderShowzen (MTV,) The Andy Milonakis Show (MTV) and The Comedians of Comedy (Comedy Central). Dave was a Producer on Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC,) The Benson Interruption (Comedy Central,) Enjoy it! With Brody Stevens (Comedy Central,) and The Pete Holmes show (TBS.) He is a creative partner for his clients and widely recognized as an industry trailblazer in leveraging alternative distribution avenues to develop and showcase talent.

Adam Segal was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City. He studied film and business at Temple University in Philadelphia and moved to Los Angeles shortly after graduation. Since then, he has managed the day to day ongoings of high profile talent alongside reputable comedy managers and agents at The Collective, APA, and now, Generate.

Kara Welker is a Founding Partner of Generate, a division of Defy Media. As a leading talent manager Kara helps oversee Generate’s client roster of actors, comedians, writers, producers and directors. For the past decade, Kara was instrumental in shaping the careers of talented individuals influencing comedy and popular culture. In 2006, Ms. Welker launched Generate with partners Jordan Levin, Pete Aronson and Dave Rath.
Kara began her career working at the Irvine Improv before taking a position at Messina Baker Entertainment, where she developed long-standing relationships with noteworthy comedy talent including Janeane Garofalo and Patton Oswalt. Following Messina Baker, Ms. Welker joined 3 Arts Entertainment, where she continued to focus on comedy talent management. Later, she launched The Rath-Welker Company with Dave Rath. As partner in The Rath-Welker Company, Ms. Welker has managed some of the most prolific minds working in comedy today and produced instant comedy cult hits such as WonderShowzen (MTV), The Andy Milonakis Show (MTV) , Comedians of Comedy (Comedy Central) and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Since Generate’s inception, Kara has continued to produce notable comedy such as the Whitest Kids U’ Know, Failosophy and several 1 hour comedy specials. She has worked with actors, writers and comedians across the landscape of TV including Saturday Night Live and developed young talent out of The Groundlings and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.
