Generate Lands Unilever as Web Show Sponsor(TVWeek)

Web studio Generate struck an advertising deal with Unilever’s “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!” to sponsor this week’s episode of the political satire Web show “Republicrats.” The show is produced by Generate and runs on MSN. Under the deal, the brand’s spray animated character, Spraychel, was integrated into an episode that ran this week, Generate said.
The deal comes at an important time for Web video. With the cratering economy, Web video experts are eager to prove that the Internet TV medium, though smaller than traditional TV, is a viable ad model.
