Here come “The Karenskys.”
Mather Zickel, Annie Potts and Jack Thompson round out the cast of the CBS comedy pilot from “Malcolm in the Middle” creator Linwood Boomer.
The project, from Universal Media Studios and BermanBraun, centers on Emily Atwood (Sasha Alexander), who returns to her hometown when her husband’s job relocates them and is reunited with her large, eccentric family, the Karenskys.
Zickel (“Rachel Getting Married”) will play Emily’s husband Bill Atwood, a biology professor who feels the loud, “men-kissing” Karenskys bunch might be too close for comfort.
Potts will play Pearl Karensky, Emily’s cheerful and deeply religious mother. Thompson (“Australia”) will play Max Karensky, Emily’s tough, argumentative and tight-fisted father.
