The latest artists/groups to bubble up on our community boards this week all have a very different sound but share in creating fun, feel-good music that is incredibly appealing to this marketplace. Take a look and listen:
Cobra Starship
Cobra Starship burst onto the scene with the uber-catchy dance-pop-rock of “Snakes On A Plane (Bring It)” from the movie’s soundtrack, since then they have been working on their soon to be released album ‘Hot Mess’ (available Aug 11). Their latest single and video “Good Girls Go Bad,” (featuring Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester) is blowing up the airwaves.

Fallbrooke
Inspired by the sound and style of alterna-rock band Jimmy Eat World, Fallbrooke is a Pop-Alternative band from Florida that has made the most out of creating viral chatter on social media sites. Their debut single “Losin’ It” is starting to get major airplay in Top 40 stations across the nation and their video available on YouTube is gaining popularity. Miley Cyrus and Mariah Carey has co-written songs with the band that you can hear on their self-titled debut album.

Amanda Blank
Amanda Blank is a woman making listeners take notice of her unique voice, while using various genres and styles as vehicles toward unhindered self-expression. Known for lending her skills to the likes of M.I.A. and Santigold, now Amanda Blank is breaking out on her own. She takes the influences of 90’s R&B, 80’s dance, indie, new wave and brit pop and weaves them into her own double dutch. Her album titled ‘I Love You’ drops on July 14th – but check out her latest single ‘Might Like You Better’. See if all you 80s music buffs can detect Blanks lyrical hook in the song (answer below)
