A leading talent manager, Dave Rath handles Generate Management's talented client roster along with Kara Welker and Jared Hoffman. For the past decade, Rath has been instrumental in shaping the careers of talented individuals, many of whom are influencing popular culture and pushing the boundaries of comedy. He is widely recognized as an industry trailblazer in leveraging alternative distribution avenues to develop and showcase talent.

In 2006 Rath and business partner Kara Welker, joined with established media leaders Pete Aronson and Jordan Levin to launch Generate, the first production, talent management and media consultancy company focused on the development of properties for multi-platform distribution.

Rath began his career working at the world renown comedy club The Improv. Following The Improv, Rath booked stand-up comedy talent for shows on MTV, Fox, Comedy Central and VH-1 where he developed a reputation for spotting young talented comedians, many of whom would become stars. He later joined Messina Baker Entertainment as a talent manager and began long standing relationships with clients such as Janeane Garofalo and Patton Oswalt. Following nearly a decade at Messina Baker, Rath left to join 3 Arts Entertainment where he continued to focus on comedy talent. In 2001 Rath formed The Rath-Welker Company, a talent and management company along with business partner Kara Welker.

As partner in The Rath-Welker Company, Rath has managed some of the most prolific minds working in comedy today and produced instant comedy cult hits such as WonderShowzen (MTV) and The Andy Milonakis Show (MTV) and Comedians of Comedy (Comedy Central) and Jimmy Kimmel Live. He has worked with actors, writers and comedians across the landscape of TV including Saturday Night Live and developed young talent out of The Groundlings and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.
